How to Buy from eBay UK with Delivery to Russia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine

Why Buy from eBay UK?

The UK version of eBay hosts entire niche markets. Think vintage clothing, rare books, 80s audio equipment, Stanley or Festool tools from UK factories, and parts for classic British motorcycles. Prices are often 30–40% lower than on European eBay or the Russian market.

The one downside is that sellers rarely ship directly to Russia or Kazakhstan. Most have either disabled the region in their settings or have a delivery block.

What You Need to Buy

A UK postal address, a card that works in the UK, and PayPal or direct card payment. Then it’s a normal purchase, plus one extra shipment from the UK to you.

Which Card to Use

Since 2022, Russian Visa and Mastercard cards haven't worked on UK sites. Here are your options:

1. A card from a Kazakh, Georgian, Armenian, or Turkish bank with international activation. 2. PayPal in your name, linked to a card that works abroad. 3. A UK card from a relative, or Wise/Revolut in your name if you have a non-resident account.

Sellers on eBay UK often prefer PayPal: fewer payment failures.

Step-by-Step Process

1. Register in your personal account at topparcel.com to get a UK address. 2. Create an account on ebay.co.uk. Add the UK address you received in the delivery section. 3. Find your item. Before ordering, check that the seller ships to the UK without restrictions (check the "Posts to" field). 4. Pay. The delivery address is your UK address at our warehouse. 5. The seller sends the parcel to us, usually via Royal Mail or Hermes – often free or for £2–4. 6. When the parcel arrives at the warehouse, you'll receive a notification. Enter the recipient details in Russia, pay for international delivery, and we'll ship it on.

Things That Can Trip You Up

Don't use a Russian phone number in your address, as the seller will see it and block delivery. Use a UK number or a virtual one.

If the item on eBay costs more than £100, the seller sometimes requires address confirmation. Tell the manager in the chat, and we'll send confirmation of receipt.

Returns to the seller from Russia don't work well: expensive and slow. Before buying, read the description and reviews, especially from private sellers.

Example: a vintage Burberry jacket for £85 on eBay UK.

A comparable jacket in Russia on Avito costs around 15–20 thousand roubles. The savings on one item covers the delivery of others in the same shipment.
